Thank you to everyone who stopped by Creepy Moon today, especially to all those who’ve found me via TikTok it was a busy one! I’m back open tomorrow 11-3 ✨

Also special thank you to Sandwich Medieval Centre for putting on such an amazing show down on the Quay, and for putting up my sign in the Blushing Maiden Tavern, long may the festivities continue tomorrow! 🍻

Very much so looking forward to the festivities this weekend on the Quay at the Medieval Weekend, head to Sandwich Medieval Centre page to see a full itinerary of what’s going on when.
There’s is also the French market in the Guildhall on and obvs Creepy Moon will be open 10-4 Saturday AAAAAAANNNNDDD 11-3 Sunday (depending on how many Meads I have on Saturday night that 11 might turn into 12 😏😂)

Watching the storm come in from Deal Pier. There’s nothing quite like being in it — out in the open, the sea turning that particular shade of grey-green and the wind making the sea spray.

In folk tradition, storms were never just weather. They were threshold moments — times when something shifts, when the energy of a place turns over like soil. Lightning as purge. Rain as ritual washing. The wind carrying off what had grown too heavy to carry yourself. Coastal storms especially, where the sea and sky seem to be in conversation with each other, were seen as the most powerful resets of all.

I always like to open windows and doors or be out in the storm to feel the energy changing, I think it’s so exciting.
