We are delighted to announce that our new retail space - UCan Drums & Keys - is know open. Located on the second floor of the Zan Mill (above our main studio), the space offers you the chance to experience products made by our key partners - Roland UK, DW Drums, PDP drums, Mapex drums, Hardcase, Meinl, Paiste, etc.

Please make an appointment should you wish to come over. Alternatively, the space will be open each Saturday from the 20th September onwards, from 10 - 4pm.

Hi Everyone,

Exciting developments at the studios over the past few weeks.

Firstly, we are delighted to have expanded our footprint within the Mill. We have created three permanent rehearsal spaces for three of the bands that had been using our main studios.

Secondly, we have expanded our instrumental teaching team - with a new drum teacher and a new guitar teacher. So, if you or any of your friends are looking to start learning the piano, guitar, drums or sing then we have space available for your lessons to start immediately. Please just get in touch to discuss further.

Finally, we have a brilliant collection of Roland and Boss ex-display equipment available for our local customers. This includes guitar amps, keyboards, Boss pedals and quite a bit of other music production equipment. Do get in touch if you need anything.

Many thanks to any of you that helped one of chosen charities, Restore the Music UK, reach their £60k Big Give target. 100% of funds raised will go to help music in schools across London, Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle upon Tyne.

UCan Play is delighted to support Restore the Music, a grant-giving charity supporting music education in some of the UK’s most underserved schools, was founded in 2013. The organisation has provided £2.6 million in grants to nearly 150 state schools, enabling over 110,000 students to access instruments and music programs. We have worked in partnership with the charity to provide these instruments.

This year, young musicians supported by Restore the Music will showcase their talents outside Westminster Abbey on 6 December 2024 ahead of Together at Christmas, a carol service hosted by the Princess of Wales. The event, supported by The Royal Foundation, will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve.

Students from Harris City Academy Crystal Palace and Harris Academy Greenwich will perform on steel pans and as part of a jazz band to welcome guests to the service.

RTM's supporters include Sony Music, Warner Music, and the Blavatnik Family Foundation, while ambassadors such as pianist Alexis Ffrench and drummer Mike Dolbear actively champion the cause.

The profits of sales of instruments made by UCan Play help support this wonderful charity. The MD of UCan Play, Dr Jonathan Savage, also works as the Regional Director supporting schools across Newcastle upon Tyne, Manchester and Birmingham.

We are looking for a new drum teacher to take over from our current teacher Gabe on a Monday evening. We have a lovely group of students ready to continue their learning with a new teacher.

The reason for this post is to alert you a new opportunity for music education funding that is available right now. Earlier this month, the Government has made £25m of funding available to music education hubs in England for the purchase of musical instruments, technology and other accessories.

Hi Everyone,

I hope that this post finds you all well.

I appreciate that this is a niche request, but we have a brand new Roland VAD-706GE drum kit here looking for a new home. This came to us from Roland at a very special price and we can pass this onto one lucky customer. These kits retailed at over £7k but we can sel this one for £4750 all. Brand new, unopened. Four big boxes to collect!

Also, we have a few vacancies for lessons for drums, guitar and voice. If you want some lessons to improve, or even start, your musical learning do get in touch.

Hi Everyone,

Many thanks to all of you that came to view and play the Roland drum kits! I'm pleased to say that all the kits have sold now, with the exception of one of the superb VAD-707 kits in natural gloss finish.

So, as a special deal for our Facebook friends only, we'd be prepared to sell this kit to you for £4900. This is basically a new kit for a bargain price! Drummers - this is one for you! UCan Play has purchased all of the Roland V-Drums stock from the London Drum Show. This includes V-Drum kits of all shapes and sizes from the entry level TD-02KV all the way through to the TD-50KV and VAD-706 monster kits!
