Sandbach Concert Series 15 years of Sandbach concerts with young talent, professional musicians, and local artists. May festival has music and Young Musician contest.

Affordable, family-friendly live music. These concerts are unique because we:

Provide the opportunity for young people to perform in front of a paying audience and professional artists who excel in their chosen instruments. Give our audience an opportunity to hear world class artists perform live in our town. Contribute to our community by showcasing local art and giving to local good causes. Breathtaking! Reiko Fujisawa gave a thrilling piano recital including music by Beethoven, Haydn, Takemitsu and Chopin last night for our February concert. This was the second time she has come to Sandbach to perform for us, and what an amazing concert it was. The young musicians who performed in the Spotlight concert were all really good, one performing in a public concert for the very first time! A thrilling start to the second part of our series.

We had a wonderful concert last week with a packed spotlight concert by local young musicians (bravo to all the young musicians) and a concert by Flautist and Sandbach resident, Fiona Colville joined by prize winning soprano, Laurie Ashworth and pianist John Gough. It was a sublime and delightful concert full of treats but particular highlights being the Fantasie by Faure, and the Irish Folk Songs. We also had an art exhibition by Janet Beardmore from Sandbach Art Club. Thank you to everyone who came out to support live music in Sandbach.

A fabulous start to season 16 last night with an amazing concert by The Apollo Saxophone quartet and talented young musicians from our area. Huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us, live music needs a live audience! Many thanks to the Mayor of Sandbach Town Council for coming along to support live music in our town. Special thanks to Sandbach Art Club who always bring a fabulous exhibit to our concerts.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, the Apollo Saxophone Quartet presents a programme of new commissions, (including from the pen of Sandbach resident Claire Cope!) alongside their brand new Vintage Cartoon project; three early cartoons from the Silly Symphonies, Merry Melodies and Looney Tunes era, with the original scores painstakingly restored and rescored for saxophone quartet by the members of the quartet, played live to the cartoons.
