Saltburn '53 Drama Group

Saltburn '53 Drama Group Established in 1953. We have 4 productions a Year. We are a Community theatre group. Most years will also include a Youth production in July.

The Saltburn 53 Drama Group (affectionately known as 'The '53') has been associated with drama in the area since (you've guessed it) 1953! Since then its output has been prodigious and has included every type of dramatic genre, from the simple one act play to full-scale Shakespearean productions and musicals. There will be few dramatists of note whose plays we haven't tackled and each year we pres

ent a pantomime, (January), our annual Drama Festival (March), a Spring Production(May) and an Autumn production (October).

TICKETS BACK ON SALE

⚠️ Important Ticket Update ⚠️
Due to a technical fault with seat allocation on Eventbrite, we have had to temporarily pause ticket sales and cancel the current event listing while the issue is being fixed.

Please don’t worry — the event itself is NOT canceled. This is only affecting the Eventbrite page so we can correct the problem properly.

If you have already purchased tickets, you may have received an email from Eventbrite saying the event has been canceled. Again, this only relates to the current Eventbrite listing and your tickets will be sorted once the issue has been resolved.

We are working to get everything back online as soon as possible, and tickets will be available to purchase again very soon.

A huge congratulations to all the talented companies, performers and backstage teams who made the event such a fantastic celebration of theatre.
We’re delighted to announce this year’s award winners:
🏆 Best Decor - Saltburn '53 with their set for Last orders
🏆 Adjudicator’s Discretion Award - Harrogate Dramatic Society for their transition between their 2 plays
🏆 Best Actress - Robyn H & Alisa H From Rushen Players for their portrayal of Nessa & Val in Blood of the Lamb
🏆 Best Actor - Ted G & Peter M From Red Onions Theatre Group for their portrayal of Bob & Robert in Tigers
🏆 Best Production - Red Onions theatre group with Tigers
