On Sunday 30th January, 13 trampolinists and their Coach, Anne Sopel took part in the National Schools Zonal Trampoline Competition held at Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton, Somerset. All the children taking part had qualified through from the Regional round held last November. The children all train with Anne at Zero Gravity Academy for Gymnastics and Trampoline in Saltash.
The competition consisted of qualifiers from the South, South East, South West and London Regions with nearly 500 competitors taking part on the day.
To qualify through to the National Final in March the trampolinists had to be placed in the top 5 of their category and age group. Results were fantastic and Coach, Anne Sopel, finished the day with 10 qualifiers through to the Final.
Huge thanks to Joanne Vine who judged on behalf of Launceston College, Stephi Dodds, India Colton and Dylan Rundle who assisted Anne all day with the competitors on the Competition Floor.
