Well, that's a wrap! I can't believe it, I mean WOW - Summer has flown by!

THANK YOU, so much to ALL our Summer 2026 Super Scientists - it has been a whirlwind but two things that were epic throughout....your enthusiasm and your creativity!

Dragons to Dinosaurs, Birds and other Beasts.....this summer will be remembered for countdowns....soooo many countdowns!! 🤣🚀🐉🔥and Colour! Loads of colourful chaos! It has been fun....Do you have a highlight?

☀️🌑 Are you planning to watch the eclipse tomorrow evening? (12th August)
Budding Mad Scientists of Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire – you will potentially be able to see around 93% of the Sun obscured between 6:17pm and 8:06pm! Amazing!

BUT... 🌞👀 KEEP SAFE! Do not look directly at the Sun. As discussed at camp today, ordinary sunglasses are NOT enough! They make things darker but do not block out the Sun's Ultraviolet Rays or Infrared Rays!

😎🕶️ Wear Specialist Eclipse Glasses that meet ISO 12312-2, or create a pinhole projector from a cardboard box and watch the projection!
🔭 Do not view the solar eclipse through phone cameras, binoculars, or telescopes unless they are fitted with the correct solar filter!

🌎🌑☀️ THE SCIENCE! The Moon orbits the Earth, and the Earth orbits the Sun. Twice a year, these three celestial bodies line up so that the Moon passes within the Earth’s shadow, or vice versa. These periods are called eclipse seasons.

This solar eclipse will be best viewed in the UK as a deep partial eclipse (with up to 96% coverage in places), and as a rare total solar eclipse across Greenland, Iceland, and northern Spain!

WOW! What a first 2 weeks!

We've had such fun and would like to say THANK YOU to all our budding scientists-you are AMAZING. From Colourful Chaos to Dragon School and Bubble'ology....it has been immense, we've dug for dinosaurs, been under the sea, created our own toy stories and more......🐉🚀🔥🫧

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all our budding Scientists. So many familiar faces - we love catching up with you.

This Easter break was Egg-Streme 🥚💥. Blandford and Andover; you were brilliantly awesome to round off the Easter break with. From the Slime Time Crime to Erupting Carrots, Egg Zip Lines and more.

What a blast we had yesterday! Rocket Scientists 🚀the mizzly conditions did not dampen the spirits!

Whether you joined us for one day or more we hope you had fun and we look forward to catching up with you as we STEM into Summer!☀️🌊

There's nothing quite like the crowd captivation with fiery flames and the chaos caused by flying toilet roll🧻😂 🔥
It has been a joy to hear that so many mini-mad scientists went home inspired.
Hearing feedback like this from teachers — and seeing the children's reactions — is the best part of what we do. 🤩
