We're pleased to see that Salisbury Arts Centre is booking more folk acts these days. Following Steve Knightley earlier in the year they have Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman on 15th Oct, The Haar on 29th Oct and Mad Dog Mcrea on 21st Nov - all fantastic acts. More in the pipeline too, so keep an eye on their programme!

We're pleased to hear about a new trad folk session which is starting at the Fox and Goose, Coombe Bissett on Tuesday.
Organiser Gary Nunn writes: 'While the third Thursday Open Acoustic Session is going really well, it does not always contain much folk, so us local folkies are trying a new monthly folk ONLY tunes and song session. Come play, sing, watch or listen'.
Thus will be on the last Tuesday of every month, so take your instruments and voices along and give it a try.

For our September meeting we will welcome Steve Turner, a well-known traditional and contemporary folk singer and concertina player.
The first half will be floor spots as usual, and these have now been booked.

You can catch our own Maerefolk at St Thomas’s Church this Saturday.

We'll be returning to St Thomas's Church, Salisbury on Saturday August 22nd for another lunchtime concert. It would be great to see lots of friends there.
