Night of Adventure

Night of Adventure An eclectic collection of first-class adventurers, explorers, daredevils and pioneers, come together

Night of Adventure

Night of Adventure is an exciting, sell-out event where an eclectic collection of first-class adventurers, from across the spectrum of explorers, daredevils and pioneers, come together to share their experiences with a live audience. Each speaker is limited to just 20 slides to accompany their tales, shown on a huge cinema screen. The challenge is that each slide will automatic

ally scroll forward after just 20 seconds. With this unusual and challenging presentation format, once the talks begin there is no stopping or going back, the audience must be ready to be swept from adventure to adventure! To find out more and buy tickets visit – www.nightofadventure.co.uk

‼️Night of Adventure 2021 – IMPORTANT UPDATE‼️

As 2020 draws to a close, we like so many other event organisers have been looking forward to 2021 and beginning to plan what the year may look like. Unfortunately for us all, the future still isn’t clear and we find ourselves once again in a place of uncertainty.

The Night-In Adventure back in September was brilliant, and we were so happy to be able to deliver you an event at that time. However, we’re in a very different position this time around. Back in March when we postponed, we had already sold over 700 tickets for our event. That allowed us to confidently put the virtual event on in this strange new world. This time we are starting from scratch with a brand new model and unfortunately, the numbers don’t quite stack up.

We want to bring you all the event you know and love, in the way that you love it and in a way that does this great event justice. So, we have decided to not put on the event virtually and to instead hold out until we can bring back the Night of Adventure in person, perhaps with a virtual element. This means there won’t be an event in 2021. We will instead be holding our next event in March 2022 when we know with confidence that we can deliver the event in its fullest format.

From all of us here at NoA HQ we thank you for sticking by us this year and continuing to support us through these uncertain times. We hope you understand why we have made this decision and that you’ll be waiting for us to return when the time is right in 2022.

We will be back – bigger and better than before.

Travel books are one of the best ways to transport yourself to foreign lands, explore new cultures and landscapes, and engage in the sort of profound philosophical pondering that goes hand in hand with travel without even leaving your bedroom. At the moment, of course, a lot of us are stuck inside.....

We chat to Tiffany Francis, author of 'Dark Skies: A Journey into the Wild Night', and ask how our relationship with the night sky has changed over time.

We've been loving following Nick Butter, Running The World on his latest epic adventure - 100 marathons in 100 days, running from north to south Italy!

Be sure to follow his journey live and get your daily dose of adventure inspiration!

DAY 1 - Here we go! 🥳😬🏃🏼‍♂️

The Italian Grand Tour 🇮🇹 Running north to south of Italy. 100 Marathons, 100 Days!

Here’s the plan:

PHASE 1 (the driving bit)

Day 1 to 5

UK 🇬🇧 > France 🇫🇷
France 🇫🇷 > Belgium 🇧🇪
Belgium 🇧🇪 > Luxembourg 🇱🇺
Luxembourg 🇱🇺 > Switzerland 🇨🇭
Switzerland 🇨🇭 > Liechtenstein 🇱🇮
Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 > Austria 🇦🇹
Austria 🇦🇹 > Italy 🇮🇹

PHASE 2 (the running bit)

Day 5 to 105

As soon as we reach the most Northerly point of Italy (Westliches Zwillingsköpfl) - I will no longer travel in the van at all. This is when the clock really starts to tick. Every morning I’ll run a marathon from about 06:00am till 11:00am. Nikki will drive the van with Poppy to the 26.2 mile mark and see me at the end of the run. We’ll then have the rest of the day to explore. Repeat 100 times all over Italy.

Christmas will be 101 days away when I start running and we want to arrive in Sicily in time for Christmas Eve. Nothing like a tight deadline ey.

PHASE 3 - (the eating bit - lots of it) Christmas Day.

A huge thank you to all the sponsors support and the team that are helping to make this possible.

What a night!

Thank you to everyone that tuned in, asked a question, bought a raffle ticket and of course, donated! You fine bunch helped us raise over £22,000 for Hope and Homes for Children!!

And it's not too late to donate if you haven't already! Simply text HOPE to 70300 and donate £5 to Hope and Homes for Children because children always belong in loving families. Never orphanages.

It was a wonderful evening and we hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did! If any of you purchased tickets but missed the stream, or just fancy watching it again (I know we will be) then you're in luck! The event will be available to watch back for the next ten days on the platform.

Once again - a huge thank you to you all for sticking with us this year. It wasn't easy but we got there!

See you soon...
