🎶✨ A spectacular afternoon of Baroque music awaits!
Join Salisbury Baroque, the city's only period-instrument orchestra, at Wilton Parish Church on Sunday 28 June for a thrilling Baroque Extravaganza celebrating some of Handel’s most popular and exuberant masterpieces.

🎻 Directed by Theresa Caudle, the orchestra will perform on reproduction period instruments, bringing Handel’s music to life with the vibrant sounds his audiences would have experienced 300 years ago.

📯 For this special concert, the orchestra is expanding its forces with the addition of baroque trumpets, horns and timpani, joining strings, oboes, bassoon, harpsichord and organ to create a truly magnificent sound.

So why have we called our next concert ‘Baroque Extravaganza’? One of the reasons is that the orchestra will include oboes, horns, trumpets and organ, alongside the usual strings, bassoon and harpsichord. Having instruments based on those that Handel would have known should be a wonderful sound in Wilton Parish Church - really extravagant - and we have some wonderful young players coming to join us including Eliza Talman who played so beautifully with us last summer. Who is this? Keen classical music lovers will recognise George Frederick Handel whose music will be showcased in Salisbury Baroque's next concert on Sunday 28th June at 6pm in Wilton Parish Church.
