Next up in our Heathcote & Friends series: Kenny Atkinson.

Kenny Atkinson has spent three decades building something completely his own. As Chef-Patron of House of Tides, Quayside, Newcastle and Solstice, he became the first chef ever to hold two separate Michelin stars in Newcastle, a city he has never stopped calling home.

His restaurants are known as much for how they feel as for what they serve: casual, welcoming, and without pretension, while the food and service speak for themselves. A two-time winner of BBC Two's Great British Menu, Kenny is one of the most recognised chefs in the country.

Adam Reid has been cooking since he was 16. Trained at Paul Heathcote's School of Excellence, shaped by Michelin-starred kitchens, and now the patron of one of Manchester's finest dining rooms at Adam Reid at The French - his path has always led back to the North West.

His cooking is straightforward in the best possible way. The best ingredients, trusted suppliers, and a clear point of view. Modern British food with a Northern accent, done properly.
