The Lion in Love

The Lion in Love Eat Theatre's production of Shelagh Delaney's play about 1960's Salford life.

As part of the inaugural Shelagh Delaney Day celebrating the Salford dramatist's life and work, Eat Theatre revive her second stage play set in 1960's Salford. Taking place against the backdrop of a busy urban market 'A Lion in Love' tells the story of three generations of one family and their friends. It's title coming from Aesop's fable warning of needless sacrifice for foolish love, it explores

their hopes and dreams for the future and of their unwillingness or inability to make the changes in life they desire. PERFORMANCE DATES
