7 Spot Pottery An artist-run ceramics studio in Manchester. We offer a range of courses for beginners and improvers.

7 Spot Pottery is an artist-led ceramic studio in Ordsall, just a 12 min walk from Cornbrook tram stop. We run handbuilding and throwing courses, and offer studio memberships for potters. We currently have 20 members from all walks of life who either work as artists or enjoy ceramics as a hobby. Membership includes storage space, all firings included, and on-site technical support. We pride oursel

ves on being an inclusive environment for people of all ability levels and experience, and welcome people who have no experience of working with clay at all, to those who have completed higher education in ceramics. We believe in the benefits of clay as a therapeutic tool for everyone, whether as a personal practice or professional endeavour.

As you saw in my latest reel, we are welcoming back our Stoke-based pottery pal, Will Keating, to demonstrate his wonderful techniques in teapot throwing!

Dates: 15th & 16th August
Time: 10am – 4:30pm (both days with a short lunch break)
Price: £220

We are hosting a two-day masterclass where you will learn to perfect the intricacies of teapot throwing: spouts, bodies, lids, and handles. On day two, we will assemble your creations! 🫖

Suitable for anyone curious about teapot architecture, Will has learned from masters across the globe, including in Korea and America, and brings a wealth of experience to help you focus on the balance, flow, and proportions of teaware.
