How I make every party personal…

Before every Colour Pop Party, I ask parents to complete a quick questionnaire so I can find out all about the birthday child; their favourite songs, TV shows, characters, games and interests. 🎉

I then use those little details to personalise their party and make sure the birthday child feels really special.
It might be their favourite song during a game, a character they love, or simply knowing the things that make them smile. ✨

These little touches can make such a big difference.
Because it’s not just a birthday party...

It’s their birthday party 🥳

For some children, having a new person arrive and suddenly become the centre of attention can feel a little daunting 😩

The week before their party, I send the birthday child a little personalised video to introduce myself, say hello and get them excited for their special day 🥳

It means that when I arrive, I’m not a complete stranger! They’ve already seen my face, heard my voice and know who I am 😊

It’s just one of the little touches I include to make each Colour Pop Party feel personal to the birthday child.
And honestly? Seeing their reaction when they realise “that’s the lady from my video!” is one of my favourite parts! 🥹💛

What if your child is feeling nervous about their birthday party?

This is completely normal! Being the centre of attention, celebrating with lots of friends/family or even meeting a new entertainer can feel like a big deal for some children. That’s why I always take the time to get to know the birthday child before the party…

My questionnaire helps me personalise the celebration around their favourite things and I even send a personalised video message beforehand so they know who they’ll be meeting on the day. 🎉

My biggest tip? Reassure them that there’s no pressure. The day is all about them having fun, feeling included and making happy memories. A little confidence goes a long way and seeing a nervous smile turn into a beaming one is one of my favourite parts of the job. 💛
