Hey! June is nearly upon us, and its looking to be a VERY busy month!

Here's a little rundown on the big things happening so far in June:

All month:
- Poetry Trail 🖋 Catch poems popping up all around Sale's town centre as part of Sale Festival. You'll even find my poem Sale's Cinemas at The Northern Light Cinema!
- Photo Competition 📷 If you're doing the trail, make sure to snap a selfie and tag Shine! You can see more details on the leaflet.
- Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈 So, expect a few pride-themed poems!

Specific dates:
- 14th June - Cinema Screening 🍿 There are now only THREE tickets left! You can book online at The Northern Light Cinema's website!
- 24th June - Poetry Reading 🎤 Finishing the Poetry trail is a fantastic evening at Gail's, hosted by local poet and actor Charles Swift
- 30th June - The Friends 1 Year Anniversary 📘 Finishing the month, my book The Friends turns 1! I'm still looking for ideas on how to celebrate - put them in the comments!

Something special is happening at the end of next month. On 30th June, The Friends will celebrate its 1 year anniversary!

Now, thanks to A Levels, I haven't had time to properly think about how to celebrate. But, the anniversary is definitely a big thing, so I need 🫵 YOUR help!

How would YOU like to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of The Friends‽ I want to hear all of your ideas, no matter how out there they are. Nothing is impossible!!

Not long now until Sale Festival Poetry Trail! Its been amazing reading all of the fabulous entries, and I can't wait for you all to be able to read them too! The map is below! You can also see the fantastic businesses taking part, check them out in the comments

Also back this year is the Poetry Trail photo competition. All you need to do is snap a picture while doing the trail and tag Shine before 30th June to be in with the chance of winning a prize!

Make sure to head down to Stanley Square Sale for Sale Festival launch!

Sale Festival starts here at Stanley Square Sale this Sunday.

It's your chance to see what our festival has in store this summer.

You'll get to hear the Sale Brass Band, Breath Stars, saxophonist David Sotunde, guitarist Matthew Kenny and the Manchester Hong Kong Community Singers who are all there to kick things off and it's completely free.

And make sure to pick up a festival brochure on the day to see what else is coming.

A Levels

Stressing me out lots!

Sorry for being very quiet recently! For those of you that don't know, my first A Level exam is tomorrow, so I'm knees deep in revision atnthe moment! I'll try to post as regularly as I can, but my poem from this month's Post Community News GM felt very fitting!
