studios artist Kate Walters is curating an exhibition at next month, running from the 12 June - 25 July . Holy Animals Sacred Plants is the culmination of over a year's work with 10 artists. The theme has been the inherent and of animals and plants.

On 12 and 13 June Walters will be going to the University of University of Worcester to speak at the Therapeutic Landcapes on the Material Practice Panel. Walters will be speaking about ‘the unfurling of dreams’, in which they will reference their own , their relationship to their painting, and the influence of the writing and thinking of David Hinton, especially in relation to Chinese wilderness poetry.

Lastly, Walters will be speaking at The Inaugural International Women’s Writing Association conference at Falmouth University on June 17th - 19th about their own writing-dreaming-drawing.

Studios artist Ro Robertson also has work in the Georg Kolbe Museum, Berlin exhibition Creating Space: The Constructivist Marlow Moss which includes their first outdoor sculpture in Europe, titled The Swimmer.

Lastly, Robertson, along with Porthmeor studios artist Simon Bayliss, will be showing work in Ten Good Years, an exhibition at The Heong Gallery at Downing College, Cambridge. Ten Good Years celebrates the gallery’s anniversary by paying homage to its inaugural exhibition Generation Painting 1955–65: British Art from the Collection of Sir Alan Bowness. It re-shows selected works from this collection by significant mid-twentieth-century artists and introduces new works produced over the past ten years by artists with connections to West Penwith, Cornwall.

Studios artist Melanie Stidolph exhibited work in Family Crinkles. This group exhibition, curated by Olivia Reynolds, featured artists from and at the incredible Lobe Block in Berlin in May.

Currently, Stidolph, alongside artist Rachael Coward are exhibiting in Anchorhold at Alma art space. It brings together existing works and new pieces in conversation. On until 16 June.

Dark Shining Wolf is a new venture from Stidolph’s alter ego – the title comes from the meaning of their given names.Three designs – each featuring a still from 16mm films shot around the rocks, pools and quarries of Cornwall - form part of an ongoing desire to regain a connection with after falling out with it. For humans and dogs (and any animals in-between), for heads and throats (particularly fine on the long necked whippet).

Abigail Reynolds is exhibiting in this year's Drawing Biennial, showing a new work, titled Leftover (The White Tower); a void left in a book page excavated for use in a Universal Now collage. It is taken from the book London in Colour, 1961 pub. Batsford Ltd, and used in Reynolds 2016 work The Universal Now: The White Tower 1961 | 1977. In Leftover, the lost part of the page is the entire focus - the shape of the hole determined by the image of the Tower of London pictured on the reverse of the page.

This event brings together experts who share their knowledge of q***r art histories outside major cities, focusing on rural areas as productive spaces for artistic practice. The starting point is Studios artist RoRobertson, who lives and works in Cornwall, and the constructivist Marlow Moss, who was active in the same region until her death in 1958.

Studios artist Kate Walters will be away on a self-funded residency in Assisi and Rome for a fortnight. Walters will be reflecting on the early Renaissance frescoes and the places St Francis and St Clare lived and worked in. Walters will be drawing and writing, hopefully towards a third book with Guillemot Press.

Walters also has some writing and watercolours included in Aspier, to be published soon.

studios artist Ilker Cinarel has been working with Path- Miras Art Residency at Kas - Turkey.

, , and came together on the same path… As part of the PATH/MİRAS project, artists from the UK and Türkiye came together on the Lycian Way in Kaş.

Uk participant artists: Ilker Cinarel, Lucy Stein, Huma Mulji, Shelley Burdett, Ali Pretty and Ozlem Hammond. Turkish participant artist: Ismet Degirmenci, Gulay Eroglu, Nazife Aras, Demet Orbay, Deger Esirkus, Funda Karatop.

Throughout this journey, they walked, created, shared, and reinterpreted a heritage shaped over thousands of years through art.

This project is not only about art, but also a call to protect and carry cultural heritage into the future. After the project, work were exhibited from 17 to 24 of April at the Kas Art House in Turkey.
