A stage half way up the wall is crazy 🤯

In 1803 a pub on Swan Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter first opened its doors.

The landlord installed a stage halfway up the wall, and the name stuck forever.

By the late 70’s it had become the heartbeat of Manchester’s post-punk scene.

Joy Division played here. Buzzcocks played here. The Fall played here.

Over 220 years later, Band on the Wall is still one of the most important live music venues in the country.

This stage has been part of some of the most important nights in British music history.

This month, it belongs to our drummers🥁

Our Jamm Factory veterans headlining The Cavern!

Reckless System have been building towards gigs like this for longer than any other band, and they absolutely delivered on the biggest stage.

Heavy, powerful and completely in their element. They were born to do this.

A special mention to our former student Jess who stepped in on vocals with one week’s notice, travelling from York having learned two full set lists. An incredible effort that made this gig possible for two of the bands.

Way back before we had fully opened our doors, Isaac and Heath joined us as two kids who just loved drums.

Two of our first drum students.

Original Jamm Family members, and Jamm legends in their own right.

Now we hold in our hands two records with their names on them.

We’re not the reason for that, we are just a part of their journey.

But moments like this remind us how far this journey can take you.

Well done guys, we are all insanely proud of you.
