Every now and then I really have to focus on keeping my perspective. When I struggle I look at this pic on my wall of my gorgeous dog Harris and one of my fave photography places Haig Pit…..

I took this when balance was out of whack. This always makes me recalibrate. That and a good natter round the kitchen table with the family x

I love it when an image catches someone's eye because of a personal memory attached to it. My "La Malouine Departure" print is heading off down the coast today!

I still get a little buzz every time I see it on the wall at Energus, so knowing this copy is going to its new home has made my week.

Happy Friday everyone! I’ve been hesitant to post this one since the Spring (check out the daffs!), but I’m sharing it today because a) the only way I'm going to learn is by sharing work and b) if you love this iconic spot as much as I do, it's a good way to flag up that there is a great reason to visit tomorrow!

The Whitehaven Brass Band is playing live 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM which will sound amazing!

As always, the wonderful will be open for hot drinks, and lovely bites.

It feel like there are so many positive events and developments going on. And this is just another way to support local talent, and enjoy a lovely morning. 💙

PS if you have any feedback on my slightly neon "Haig Pit is getting a second wind" vibe in this pic I'd love to hear it…. (I think 🙃)

And for the person on one of my channels who thought I had lobbed my photo through AI, here’s a wee snapshot of some of the process.

I never pretend that I have any artistic talent with my hands - I can literally make a stickman look like a twig - in fact poor Mr Crisp (my art teacher at school) couldn’t wait for the day that I would drop the subject 🤣

However, I do enjoy spending time learning and developing with digital tools like Procreate and Adobe. Every day’s a school day for me even at the grand age of 58!

So, without wishing to sound grumpy, no Sir, I didn’t “lob it” through ChatGPT 😂

I took a photo from across the harbour back in June, and as usual have been playing with effects, digital brush strokes and colours until I ended up with this.

Always a little nervous to share, but this is my little tribute to one of my favourite additions to wonderful West Cumbria - the (multi) award winning Edge.
Fabulous place. My poetic licence with swimmers and kayaks 💙

Congratulations to all involved in making this place a reality - love it!

And now for something a little different..... I found this that I had started a while back, and loved picking it up again. I got tucked into Procreate and ended up with a bunch of flowers and a tea cup🙃

Something different from me, and I would love to know what you think of this style. Any potential for cards with some positive messages? Or am I getting carried away... again? ☺️x

Life has been full on with juggling work & family, and I have been hopeless at posting. Just not enough “me” to go round 😂

Anyway, lots of exciting projects and commissions bubbling along for which I am truly grateful.

And today….. happy time with my old faithful Canon, scouting for best shot locations for a project. Would it surprise you to know she has a name? 📷🤭

And shortly off for a walk which will no doubt be positively full of chatter across home & work - with Dianne. What a great way into the weekend….
