What a fantastic Armed Forces Day! 🇬🇧🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, sang, danced, supported the event and helped make it such a brilliant day. It was great to see so many people out celebrating and showing their support for our Armed Forces community.

Now we’re getting ready for our next gig!

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dreckly Boys dads, grandads and father figures! 🍻

Today we celebrate the men who can fall asleep anywhere, fix anything with a cable tie, and answer every question with:

“Ask your mother.”

Enjoy your day, boys. Put your feet up, have a pint, and remember…

The greatest gift a dad can receive is peace and quiet.

🌟 Spotlight Sunday – Dougie 🌟

This week we’re shining the spotlight on the one and only Dougie!

Dougie joined the choir after he was out in Morzine with Pete and somehow decided on our return that starting a choir sounded like a sensible idea… thankfully, Dougie agreed and the rest is history!

When he’s not belting out a tune, Dougie works as a Technical Representative for Macsalvors Crane Hire, who generously sponsor our choir shirts. So not only does he help keep the choir going, he helps keep us looking smart too!

An ex-Forces man and proud Harley rider, Dougie is always there when someone needs a hand. He’s one of those people who quietly looks out for everyone else, whether that’s at choir, at an event, or just in everyday life.

His favourite choir songs are The Rose and South Australia, while his personal anthem is Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd – which says a lot about the kind of bloke he is!

🎖️ **Tomorrow is a BIG one for The Dreckly Boys! 🥁**

We are absolutely buzzing to be performing at **Armed Forces Day** tomorrow at **Aylmer Square** and we couldn't be more proud! 🇬🇧

Some of our very own Dreckly Boys are veterans themselves — and tomorrow they won't just be on stage, they'll be **marching at 11:00** too. 🪖 Seeing our lads in that parade is going to fill every single one of us with the fiercest Cornish pride you've ever seen. ⚔️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Then from **2 o'clock** we'll be giving it everything we've got live on stage — so come down, bring the family, and let's make some noise! 🎶💥

Armed Forces Day means everything to us. These are the men and women who gave everything for this country, and if we can give them a cracking soundtrack for one day — well, that's an honour we don't take lightly.

To every veteran, every serving member, and every family who has sacrificed so much — **we see you, we salute you, and we thank you from the bottom of our Cornish hearts.** 🫡❤️

Come down, sing loud, and let's give our armed forces the celebration they deserve! 💥🎶

Congrats England on a cracking result! 🏴⚽

From Cornwall, we’ll tip our hats to that performance. We’re Cornish first, but it’s good to see the neighbours doing well. Proper job! Don’t get too carried away though—there’s a long way to go. England may bring football home, but Cornwall’s still bringing the pasties. 😉
