Thanks to everybody who came along to last night's quiz, and a particular welcome to the two teams who joined us for the first time.

Congratulations to The Archie Appreciation Society who took the cash prize for first place, despite half their team having abandoned them to watch cricket instead!

Well done also to two other teams for winning rounds of drinks for their tables.

Here are two of our favourite wrong answers from the picture round - but overall you all did very well in what, by common consensus, was a particularly difficult quiz. We'll try to make next month's *slightly* easier...

At our next quiz, this coming Friday, we'll be celebrating no fewer than three birthdays amongst our quizzing community - including a 60th and a 16th!

What songs will we be testing your knowledge of in honour of these big days? Only one way to find out - come and be part of the fun, and join us from 7.30pm on Friday 19th June.

June is the month of the London Naked Bike Ride, so in this month's quiz we'll be marking that by featuring a round all about nakedness in songs!

It'll be one of seven rounds, including our usual picture, guess the year and general knowledge rounds, another about football anthems to celebrate the World Cup, and our featured artist Culture Club. Don't miss it!

The FIFA World Cup starts today - and at this month's Music Quiz we'll be marking 60 years of hurt with a round all about soccer tunes from the past!

What better way to celebrate the fact that football might possibly be coming home than by mugging up on your John Barnes rap and other soccer anthems, and then joining us on Friday 19th June?

No, the quiz doesn't clash with any good matches - and we'll be finishing the quiz just as Scotland kick off against Morocco. So get Friday 19th June in your diary and join us at the Royston Club, St Albans for the quiz that's 100 per cent music and a million per cent fun! See you there!

The quiz is back on Friday 19th June, and we're going back to the 80s with this month's featured artist - yes it's new wave band Culture Club!

So unless you really want to hurt me, lock Friday 19th June into your diary, and come and join us for the quiz that's 100 per cent music and a million per cent fun.

There will of course be lots of other rounds as well - and as the World Cup will be under way, you can probably expect some classic football tunes somewhere along the way.

Important news for those of you who like to plan ahead and have got our future dates mapped in your diary! We've had to change the date for our July quiz.

So, our next two quizzes will now be on Friday 19th June, and then Friday 31st July. As always, both will feature topical rounds and great fun is guaranteed.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to yesterday's quiz - another great turnout and it was lovely to see the return of a few old faces who haven't been able to make the last few.

After some teething problems right at the beginning, our new (actually quite old) sound system worked a treat, and everyone could hear our music clips in crystal clarity.

Congratulations to Sultans of Sin for taking first place, and correctly recognising Clair by Gilbert O'Sullivan to double their money.

We're back for our next quiz on Friday 19th June. Hope to see you then!
