Black Box Theatre

Black Box Theatre We're a new St Albans-based theatre company dedicated to creating atmospheric theatre by our unconventional use of space and fresh direction.

We're a start out theatre company based in St Albans. We aim to create exciting and exceptionally engaging theatre, ranging from from older and more traditional plays, to contemporary plays to devised pieces. We like to challenge conventional uses of space within theatre to intensify the atmosphere and make any theatre we produce feel authentic and atmospheric. Our members include Amber Townsend, Freya Mitchell and Emily Carhart who are dedicated in giving quality performances.

Aaand we’re back! Black Box Theatre has had a bit of a break over the last few months, but we are returning with a summer edition of Rehearsal Room, but with a twist- this one will be in person! The workshop will be a picnic in the park with a reading of Midsummer Night’s Dream on the 16th of July. The day will consist of drama games, picnic food and of course the read- through and discussion!

Hey!

Have you missed us? Black Box Theatre has had a bit of a break over the past few months but we are back! We've got many ideas in the pipeline, including a summer edition of Rehearsal Room but now with a twist - it will be in person!

We are organising a Rehearsal Room picnic in St Albans on the 16th of July. The day will consist of a read-through of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', drama games, picnic food and of course, our beloved play discussion. If you are interested, then please let us know your preference of character and we can send you some more information.

We would love to see you all there, it will be a great afternoon and who doesn't love Shakespeare in the park?
