🏃‍♀️🏃 Karene and Freddie have been putting in the hard work, and race day is almost here.

For weeks, they've been out there training, mile by mile, to raise money for the creative groups, community sessions, and safe spaces that make Trestle what it is. 💛

Freddie has been part of the Trestle family since he was 11. Before heading off to university, he wanted to give something back to the place that shaped him... All that effort deserves your support. Every pound they raise goes directly to keeping our sessions running, reaching over 100 people every week through programmes that build confidence, ease isolation, and support wellbeing.

Back their hard work with a donation via https://tinyurl.com/43r9er7y

They've done the training, now help them cross the finish line. 💙

💛 Karene and Freddie are Running 10k for Trestle and they need your support.
Two wonderful members of our community are hitting the road to raise money for the groups, sessions, and safe spaces that Trestle is built on.

Freddie has been coming to Trestle since he was 11. Before heading off to university, he wanted to do something meaningful for the place that has given him so much. When he watched Karene and Hatty cross the finish line of a half marathon for Trestle, he knew he had to be part of it. Karene, already a Trestle half-marathon veteran, is back and ready to go because when it comes to this place, she wouldn't have it any other way.

Why your donation matters
Every week, over 100 children, young people, and adults come through our doors at Trestle Arts Base in St Albans. In a single year we run 90 sessions for adults with multiple needs and 144 sessions for young people aged 4 to 18. Over 85% of participants say their sessions improve their mood. For some, our School of Drama is the one place outside home where they feel truly comfortable.

With costs rising and grants harder to come by, community fundraising is more important than ever. Every donation helps us keep sessions affordable, offer bursaries so cost is never a barrier, and maintain the warm, welcoming space our community deserves.

Please donate. No amount is too small and every penny goes directly to keeping Trestle's community groups running.

We recently had the pleasure of working with performing arts students and the results were brilliant. Programme Area Leader Dale Shirtliffe said the workshop "enabled students to see how an industry group worked to create theatre from a purely physical point of view, with students able to apply the skills immediately, working with confidence both with and without the masks."

That is what are all about: practical, hands-on, and immediately applicable, whatever stage of training your students are at.

We're delighted to present this new exhibition in our gallery space from

is a varied and deeply personal body of work spanning three interwoven themes: maps drawn for the disoriented, surreal portraits of loneliness, and the search for peace rendered through the imagery of whale hunting.

Working entirely from imagination and memory, Dominic creates paintings that don't resolve, they open. He invites you to finish the story he has started.

His hope is simply that you leave feeling what he feels when he encounters art he loves: inspired to create.

10% of proceeds from all sold artwork will be donated to , the national charity for people experiencing homelessness.
