To our audience, thank you for coming to hear us last Saturday. An a-capella concert is the kind of challenge we love and we appreciated all the attentive faces!
Please put our next concert in your diaries, which will be on FRIDAY 3rd July. We will be singing two great contemporary masses: Frank Martin's Mass for Double Choir and Missa Brevis by Will Todd.

One day to go until the 28th when we line up at St Saviour's Church, St Albans with spring in our steps and in our voices!
We’ll be singing about the great British weather and all the lovely seasonal things we hear, see and consider at this time of the year. All in English (plus a very happy French piece).
The concert will be just over an hour with wonderful refreshments afterwards.
It’s £18 and £5 for children, a 7.30pm start and tickets will be available at the door.

Only 3 weeks and 3 days to go until we make a welcome return to St Saviour's Church, St Albans. Join us on the 28th March at 19.30 to herald the arrival of Spring

Elgar’s O Wild West Wind and Bob Chilcott’s Weather Report remind us of the unpredictability of the British climate. A more tranquil mood is restored by the beauty of works by Mathias, Howells, Copland, Morley and EJ Moeran. Two classic 16th century chansons round off the concert.

To all our audience, a big thank you for coming to see us last night. We've had so many lovely compliments.
A Boy Was Born is rarely tackled because of its level of difficulty and it's great to have cracked it! We couldn't have done it without the beautiful sound and amazing skills of the chamber choir of St George's School, Harpenden.
In addition was the marvellous mini opera by Respighi, which was made special by our great wind players, double pianists and soloists. Please share if you have any photos.😊

We're certainly challenging ourselves but we're up for it! We'll be joined by the excellent chamber choir St George's School, Harpendenden. We think you'll be blown away with all of it.

What a lovely mixture of all Italian music we have for your delectation, tomorrow 28th June at 7.30pm at Dagnall Street Baptist Church. Plenty of fa-la-las and don-don-dons in our selection of madrigals, sacred music with dancing and happiness as well as beauty. Not to forget our little score Mass for Four Voices, full of the kind of tempo changes which Monteverdi does so well
Eric Whitacre's soulful Lux Arumque and to finish will be his amazing word painting of Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine to complete the concert. Drinks and yummy finger food will be available afterwards.

Well we were somewhat perturbed when we first picked up these mini scores. Are we singing a tiny piece of music? Do we need to take a potion to make us small enough to sing it? Well no. This is Monteverdi's Mass for 4 voices and the music is easy to read as well as being lovely. We're aboout to begin rehearsals for our next concert which is on at 7.30pm on the 28th June and features a wide range of music from rennaisance to current day. This time we're at Dagnall Street Baptist Church It will be the third outing of the wonderful and challenging contemporary piece by Eric Whitacre - Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine, which we're very proud to have mastered on its last outing. Representing early rennaissance is Monterverdi's beautiful Mass for 4 Voices.
