Latest piece finished. Close up of an absolutely gorgeous Snow Leopard 😍!! Sadly there are only between 3,920 and 6,390 snow leopards left in the wild. Poaching, habitat loss, declines in natural prey species, and retaliatory killings resulting from human-wildlife conflict are the main reasons this big cat is under threat. The other major impact on snow leopard survival is the climate crisis.

My new project "The Vanishing Wild" focuses on endangered wildlife of the world. Intentionally left unfinished, my portraits are trying to convey how animals and wildlife are in decline and will, sadly, eventually vanish completely unless we start to intervene.
The population of African Lions is less than half of what it was just three decades ago, and their populations have been wiped out across much of Africa. Unless we act now, African lions could be extinct in the wild by 2050.
My original portraits will be up for sale, and I will donate 20% of profits to the WWF.

I actually started this a couple of years ago and for some reason lost enthusiasm for it... I found it today! I finally finished! Interesting to see how my style has changed, so I've re-worked it slightly to be more my current style 🙂 🦁

What a noble and proud looking lad! It was an absolute pleasure drawing Bert, who sadly went to doggy heaven a month ago. I just love how expressive and characterful Basset Hounds faces are, they truly are wonderful the draw 🙂💙
I used a mechanical Rotory 0.7 and 0.5 pencil with black lead on Daler Rowney smooth-heavyweight 220g/m²

A very personal one for me.... my own kitty Jadey, who heartbreakingly had to be put to sleep on the 21st July this year. She was just coming up to her 20th year on this planet. I miss her so much 💔
