The big reveal is finally here! 🎨🦁
We are absolutely thrilled to share the finished look of the 15 murals we’ve been working on at the Wildheart animal sanctuary Today was our official launch, which means we can finally lift the veil and share you the completed arches on here.
This project has been an incredible ... nearly year long ... journey, and it wouldn't have been possible without our amazing community. A massive thank you to the brilliant young people from The Bay Secondary School, Forest Edge School , and Tiger Teens. Over the last year, we’ve run sessions together exploring the animals, learning about street art and developing art skills. They didn't just help paint the murals—they completely shaped and inspired the designs from the very start.
We also want to say a huge thank you to the team at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary , who looked after us so wonderfully throughout the entire process.
None of this would have happened without the generous support of our funders. Huge gratitude to who funded the project via investment from Arts Council England and Sandown Town Council - Isle of Wight who believed in us too. Thank you for investing in local creativity and our young people!
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing a closer look at the finer details and stories behind each individual mural. But for now, please enjoy the finished article! Swiping through these is an absolute joy.
Let us know which one is your favourite in the comments! 👇

Two incredibly long, hot days painting out in the sun, and honestly? We wouldn’t trade it for anything. This is our absolute passion!

We’ve just finished two brand-new murals inspired by the sea mines in Sandown Bay. One brings the underwater history to life with subsea mines, and the other features the culver downs.

The best part of this project was hands-down the amazing response from everyone. We had so much engagement from the public, with the loveliest comments and chats with both locals and tourists alike. Hearing your feedback makes all the hard work worth it!
Thank you so much for the warm welcome, Sandown. We already can't wait to come back and paint here again! 👇 Check out the finished pieces below! Sandown Town Council - Isle of Wight

Sweeping Sands, Strengthening Community Bonds

PRESS REALISE

Sandown, Isle of Wight – A strong display of community spirit and teamwork has seen significant progress made in clearing a large amount of sand from Eastern Gardens, creating a cleaner and more welcoming space for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
Working hand-in-hand with Sandown Town Council, local volunteers, businesses, and concessionaires have come together to tackle the ongoing challenge of sand accumulation. Their collective efforts have reinforced the value of partnership and demonstrated what can be achieved when the community unites with a shared purpose.

Thanks to the dedicated support of Stephen Facilities Manager Sandown Town Council, local Beach Concessionaires, and the Sundial Café, Eastern Gardens is now looking noticeably tidier, with substantial amounts of sand successfully cleared and returned to the beach. This work not only improves the appearance of the area but also enhances accessibility and enjoyment for all who use the area.

Sandown Town Council extends its sincere thanks to everyone involved for their hard work, commitment, and positive contribution. The success of this effort serves as a model for future community-led initiatives, demonstrating that by working together, we can continue to improve and maintain our town for the benefit of all.
