Here’s the finished piece!

Excited to be presenting at the Global Birdfair this July in Rutland, United Kingdom. I will be sharing about Photography for Conservation and Education, talking about the Grebes and I will also be exhibiting in the vendor area. One of my favorite Bird Festivals, and this one is HUGE! A message from our patron, David Gray, on hearing the news that Mary Colwell has received an MBE.

"Sending out huge congratulations to Mary on the official announcement of her being awarded an MBE. I can honestly say that I have never met, or worked with, a more deserving recipient.

Mary is a fearless, insightful, imaginative and hugely compassionate person; a powerful mix of dogged determination and remarkable sensitivity.

Ever since I became involved in Curlew Action I have marvelled at the selflessness of her efforts and at her amazing capacity to bring people together from different sides of the conservation divide. In all that time, I have never once seen her position herself in respect of any personal gain to either her reputation or her finances. She truly is one in a million, and a great inspiration to us all.

I know it would be Mary’s wish that some of the attention and the recognition that such a significant honour brings, might also help to shine a light on some of the many causes, like the plight of the Curlew, and nature education, that she has campaigned for so passionately and so tirelessly over many years."
