It was a privilege to draw such a beautiful girl, whom I can tell is so dearly missed by her family 💔

This portrait took 40 hours to complete, using Polychromos and Derwent Lightfast pencils on A4 Bristol Vellum paper. ✏️ 🌈

What is everyone’s New Year’s resolutions this year?
Mine is to try and spend more time outdoors 🌳🍃

I’m eager to get started on my first order of the year when I return to the studio tomorrow, but until then here’s the finished portrait of this gorgeous Spaniel. Although the curly hair was extremely challenging 🙈 I loved the end result 🐕‍🦺

As some of you may know I took an extended leave from my artwork 18 months ago, but I have returned to what I love, and I’m so excited to be able to share with you my new line of work, Hyper Realistic pet portraits 🐶🐱🐴
