🤠❤️ ONE YEAR OF BOOTS N BOOGIE ❤️🤠

We’ve been looking back at these photos… our very first Boots N Boogie classes.

And honestly… it’s brought a little tear to our eyes. 🥹

Look at those faces.

Some of them are still dancing with us today. Some have moved on. Some came for a few weeks, some stayed for months, and some are still here, a whole year later.

But every single one of them was part of the beginning. ❤️

Back then, we had absolutely NO IDEA what Boots N Boogie would become.

We didn’t know how many people would walk through those doors.

We didn’t know about the friendships that would be made.

We didn’t know we'd have people who had never danced before believing in themselves, stepping onto that dance floor and doing things they never thought they could.

We didn't know we'd have socials, laughter, celebrations, packed dance floors and memories that will stay with us forever.

We simply turned up, put the music on… and started dancing. 👢🎶

And now, one year later, we have something that is so much bigger than just a dance class.

We have a community. ❤️

People who started as strangers have become friends. People who were nervous to walk through the door now walk in with confidence. And people who thought they "couldn't dance" are out there absolutely smashing it.

These two photos will always be special to us.

Because without those people, there would be no Boots N Boogie as it is today.

So to everyone who has ever walked through our doors…

Whether you stayed for a week, a few months, or you’re still here every week…

THANK YOU. ❤️

You are all part of the story.

And to those still standing beside us one year on…

We genuinely couldn't have wished for a better bunch of people to share this journey with. 🥹❤️

From that first class… to everything we have become today.

One year.

So many memories.

So many friendships.

So many muddy boots.

And hopefully… many, many more years of dancing to come. 👢❤️

🤠 YOU DON'T NEED TO BE…

You don't need to be young.
You don't need to be super fit.
You don't need to have rhythm.
You don't need to be perfectly coordinated.
You don't need any previous dance experience.
And you definitely don't need to know what you're doing! 😂

You just need to be willing to give it a go.👢

Everyone starts somewhere.

You might walk through the door feeling nervous, awkward or thinking “I'm going to be rubbish at this!”

And yes, there will be times when a dance feels difficult. Times when you think “I'll never get this!” 😩

But don't give up.

Because progress doesn't always happen in one class. Sometimes it's the next week, sometimes it's after a few more practices — and then suddenly something clicks! 💡

You learn, you practise, you make mistakes, you laugh, you try again... and slowly but surely, you get better. 🧡

And somewhere along the way, you realise you're not just learning dances — you're gaining confidence, meeting people, making friends and doing something that's just for YOU.

So if you've ever thought “I'd love to try line dancing, but I'm not sure I could do it…”

You probably can. You just haven't tried yet.🤎🧡

👢Give yourself time. Be kind to yourself. And don't give up on yourself.

💔 A LEGEND. AN ICON. THE QUEEN OF COUNTRY. 🤠

What incredibly sad news. Dolly Parton has passed away at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy that has shaped country music for generations.

For those of us who love country music and line dancing, Dolly has been part of the soundtrack to so many memories. Her songs, her unmistakable voice, her personality and that incredible ability to tell a story through music will never be forgotten.

From Jolene to 9 to 5, Coat of Many Colors and Will Always Love You — her music will live on, on dance floors, in classrooms, at socials and in the hearts of country music fans everywhere. ❤️

Dolly wasn't just a country star… she WAS country music.

Thank you for the music, the memories, the laughter, the kindness and the sparkle. ✨

Rest easy, Dolly. 🤍
The country world will never be the same.

Dolly Parton was around six when she wrote her first song: "Little Tiny Tasseltop," an ode to her corncob doll with corn-silk hair. Her mother stored it preciously in a shoebox.

🤠 YOU KNOW YOU'RE A LINE DANCER WHEN…👢😂

You know you're officially a line dancer when...

💃 You start counting steps in your head while listening to songs in the car.

👢 You see a shiny floor and immediately wonder, “I wonder how well my boots would slide on that?” 😂

🎶 A song comes on the radio and instead of just listening to it, you're thinking… “Is there a dance to this?”

🧠 You practise the dance at home… and then completely forget it the second you get into class! 🤣

👀 You find yourself watching people's feet wherever you go.

🤠 You have a favourite pair of boots that somehow seem to go with EVERYTHING.

💃 You hear the words “5, 6, 7, 8…” and you're instantly ready!

And finally...

❤️ You realise that somewhere along the way, line dancing has become about so much more than learning steps.

It's the music, the laughs, the friendships, the little victories and that feeling when a dance finally clicks!
