Strawhouse Studio is a unique building - built from 250 bales of Barley straw - clad in three layers of lime render. It is largely poweered by a PV array, has an earth roof, and harvests rainwater into two 1,000 litre tanks. It is a hybrid combination of trad and modern and used as a study location by both Warwick and Coventry University - sustainable building, entomology and biodiversity.
