In recognition of Tourette's Awareness Day - which takes place on 7th June every year in the UK - we have just secured the BAFTA-winning film ‘I Swear’ for showings next month!

This powerful, biographical drama collected three major awards during the 2026 BAFTA ceremony, earlier his year.

Notably, lead actor Robert Aramayo won Best Leading Actor for his portrayal of John Davidson, alongside his EE Rising Star prize, and the film won for Best Casting.

The film follows the true, inspiring story of John Davidson, a Scottish man from the Borders region who became a prominent campaigner and activist for Tourette syndrome.

The film will be shown at Rugby Theatre on:
Fri 10th July @ 7.30pm
Sat 11th July @ 5pm & 8pm
Tickets £8

Tourette's Awareness Day is part of a broader month-long campaign - Tourette's Awareness Month - which runs from 15th May to 15th June every year, to help raise awareness and understanding of Tourette Syndrome.
