So many things to be thankful for, as we begin the 10 DAY COUNTDOWN to our concert. One of which is the lovely sanctuary of peace in which we are privileged to sing and rehearse, the Pembroke Chapel. We want to say a big Thank You to the College for this opportunity.

✨️ Why do people join our choir?

We asked our choirs members, and they delivered! Here is what one of our dear choir members, Martine shared:

“I was at Christ Church singing while redecorating the church and a ministry trainee came and said, 'You should join the CU Gospel Choir, my wife goes there...' - Oh why not I thought, and this is how I joined.
What I did like, and it has not changed, is the fact that it is open to everybody regardless of your age, nationality, background etc. The first time I sang, I felt uplifted, full of energy somehow "rebooted". It was like I was in a middle of a live concert. This is the best medicine you could get for your physical and mental health. Cherry on the cake it is scientifically proven, so come and Sing!”

Exciting times are here again!!!! The Choir is officially back this month and kicking off the Michaelmas term with something we have never done before!!! An OPEN REHEARSAL. That's right, tomorrow at 5:30 pm, join us in Pembroke College Chapel as we make a joyful noise together. We encourage everyone who can be there to come. You can sing with us, dance with us, clap with us, and even just listen to us, as we go through some of our favourite gospel songs.

We look forward to welcoming everyone who comes. Come as you are. Let us be joyful together with beautiful gospel music!! Cheers😆😆
