Shopping locally

I've had some lovely new customers in this week who made the effort to come and visit me for yarn. I've said it before many times but it makes such a difference, not only to me but also to the wider community when customers shop locally and not online from big yarn companies.

1. It strengthens the local economy
2. It keeps our community unique
3. It's more environmentally friendly
4. You get better service

I get it. It's so easy to sit on the sofa and order online from the big companies, and I know I can't stock every yarn, but I hopefully provide enough to interest customers, and I'll always have a smile and advice if it's wanted.

I'm not being dramatic when I say that I won't be here anymore without the support. It's pretty hard being a single woman with the cost of bills etc. But I'll fight to keep my shop because I love it so much and every independent shop in Royston will do the same. It's not just a job, it's part of who we are and also part of what makes our town so lovely.

So thank you to everyone who makes the effort to choose to shop at No.3 Royston, both in the shop and using my website - it makes a massive difference to my life and the town itself!

Just chillin' 😎

No edits, just a stunning piece of original art that we had the pleasure of framing recently. Coming to us rolled in a tube, measuring 1.5m x 1m, we stretched the canvas over our bars to strengthen it. Highlighting the core colour with our moulding, we presented it in a double frame to give it that inner white glow.
