Sheffield printmaking workshop -- Solar Plate Etching 🌞

I’m so excited to run this workshop — solar plate etching is one of my favourite techniques, and I love sharing it with people who’ve never tried printmaking before.
We’ll spend the afternoon creating your own UV‑etched plate, inking it up, and pulling a finished print you can take home. It’s relaxed, friendly, and genuinely one of the most satisfying processes in my studio.

I'm in another exhibition!

Here is my piece, "The forgotten summerhouse", making its journey to the "All things hidden and unseen" exhibition run by the Nirvana's art collective at Gallery 24 in Sheffield! I'd love for you to come and visit and see all the beautiful artworks that have been delivered today!

As part of the exhibition, I am running a workshop on solar plate etching! I'd love to have some of you along, but there's only 10 places so make sure you book fast! The link is in my bio.

The exhibition is running in Gallery 24, which is attached to the Two and Six micropub. It is just to the right in this picture! Please come along and also enjoy a beer while you are here!

I'm so grateful to the Nirvana's art collective for running this exhibition, thank-you for all your help and support so far, especially with organising my workshop, but also more generally for supporting neurodivergent and disabled artists!

I enjoyed a walk around this beautiful part of Sheffield whilst dropping off my work, there are some lovely art installations around!

The geese are FINISHED! Here are all the layers of my latest reduction linocut of greylag geese in a field. I hope you enjoy them, they'll be available for purchase as soon as they are dry.

Fancy your hand at printmaking, but don't know where to start? Come and join me at Gallery 24 in Sheffield on the 22nd August, where I am running a solar plate etching course in conjunction with the Nirvana's art collective! Here you will get to make prints using UV light from a drawing. No artistic experience needed, it's a great way to spend an afternoon! Please let me know if you have any questions!

The geese are nearly done now! It's very exciting seeing it all come together, and there's only a couple of layers left now. I think I will regret my decision to add the beaks at the end, but I'm sure I'll make it work.
