If there are any scrollers out there that who follow me who would like scrollsaw patterns, you have around a week before my w*bsite has a big overhaul. I won't be offering patterns to download anymore or having an online sh*p for awhile.

In other news...

Felt a bit stronger for the first time in weeks and went for a shuffle around an old haunt πŸ™‚ was pleased to find I wasn't utterly wiped out afterwards so did a bit of carving this afternoon. Now, I can't make fist with either hand and my elbows won't bend competently πŸ˜‚ Still, I had bluebells πŸ™‚

Outfoxed -Intarsia, scrollwork and carving all together and framed - twice πŸ˜‚

When is prize not a prize? - when you get added to an anxiety inducing, work creating Whatsapp planning committee! I have slated this one for a group show I 'won' a spot in later in the year, so it one of the last I am packing up ready to move.

I have had to build it an additional 4.5" deep glazed frame to go over the original to stop the inevitable 'pokers' really not really enjoying the reflections...

Playing with shapes, space and balance on a grey day... walnut, wire and thread. Enjoying something abstract but organic, might lose the four small elements?.. might not.

I made this kestrel a couple of years ago back when my hands still let me and was never quite content with deep box frame I made to keep her safe - caged? I was putting work into storage and came across it again and figured I might set her free, imagining it set on a cloud like mirror so she could soar - Cue lots of swearing and bleeding and my 'cloud' is a 1/3 smaller than intended πŸ˜‚and my brain can't unsee the join in the frame that became necessary - quite like the principle. Might have a another try...

It has been awhile hasnt it?! The shed is all packed up as we get closer πŸ™„?! to being able to move. I have had to be ruthless with the " that might be useful one day" stash of timber and tools. But before the scrollsaw was put into storage, I roughed out some shapes so I would have a supply to work on when and wherever until we get settled. Sadly, I have been stymied by pain, weakness and a crushing fatigue so much of the time that I haven't managed to do anything much creative (that didnt end in a frustated mess) for months. Today πŸ™‚I have managed a short spell carving these holly shapes that I had hoped might become terns. There is a way to go....πŸ˜‚

I never really went in for prints of my work in a big way, as I was never brave enough or smart enough to know what images might be popular and commit to print runs.

Greeting cards were another beast though and I tried hard to produce high quality images for them, so much so some people at events would think they were actually made of wood, framed up they look pretty sharp.

I still have some designs in hand and am offering bundle deals of 5 and 10 cards on my website.
