Bute Youth Theatre Returns!

We are back for another year - all our workshops are now taking place on a Wednesday between 3:15pm and 9:30pm.

This term we are focusing on improvisation & comedy with a focus on fun and laughter. We have some spaces left in some of our workshops and we would be pleased to hear from interested parents and carers about the options for their kids and young people

Not long now - we opens the door to the next generation of theatre makers next month. When these young people first entered the studio as very young kids, would they have believed they could have held a sell-out audience at NFYT in the palm of their hands? They did the work - and that pays off!

Hi everyone - our great friends from New Zealand are coming to Bute for 1 night only in September. Their bluegrass version of Macbeth has literally won ALL the awards- it is spine tingling, jaw dropping brilliance and we are so, so lucky they’re coming to our own back yard. I’m putting this here for you to look at and book your tickets for. They’re about to embark on their second sell-out year in a row in Edinburgh at the fringe - a near impossible thing to do. You need to see this one! And it is only at Bute Yard!!

begins in glorious sunshine - and Bute shone on the biggest stage of all - the young people had the entire audience completely enthralled! All their hard work - all that time in the studio - they deserve immense credit - they did it!

Last week we wound up our year with performances from 4 age groups - a fantastic way to finish the academic year. They were all great - and they head off for another exciting summer - and no doubt return 2 foot taller in September!
