⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meet the Team cont…..⭐️⭐️⭐️ Abie’s journey with the school is a rather special one, as she actually started out as a student here herself! She joined the theatre school as a teenager, and has now been part of the team since December 2018.

Abie teaches Drama across all Musical theatre age groups. Abie also assists in all classes and is generally Rebeccas right hand woman for everything Academy related!

Abie has loved musical theatre and performing from a very young age. She studied Musical Theatre at college, graduating with a Distinction, and has completed multiple singing exams. She is currently working towards her teaching qualification adding another string to her bow!
Her performing journey has even taken her overseas, having travelled to perform when she was younger!

Although she has taken a step back from performing herself, Abie’s passion for the arts has grown into a love for teaching and helping others discover their own confidence, creativity and individuality. One of her favourite things about working at the Academy is watching the children grow — especially those she has known since they were little.

Last year, Abie also took the leap to start her own business, ETTA, delivering sensory-based Musical Theatre sessions across schools, nurseries and care homes, using music, movement, props and sensory experiences to bring the arts to people of all ages.

We are so lucky to have Abie as part of the team. Her kind, caring, patient nature along with her industry skills make her a huge hit with students of all ages.

Meet Dayna

Dayna has been dancing since she was a little girl and has always had a real passion for performing, teaching and helping young dancers grow in confidence and ability.

She trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz and completed her examinations with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD). Throughout her dancing journey, Dayna has competed across the country, including at championship level. She has also performed in numerous dance shows and productions.

Dayna has been awarded multiple BATD scholarships in Modern, Tap and Jazz, recognising her dedication and ability as a dancer. In 2017, she completed her BATD Modern Teaching Examination, achieving an incredible 97% and a Distinction.

Alongside performing, Dayna has always loved teaching and sharing her passion for dance. She previously taught at a dance school in Doncaster, where she helped pupils achieve fantastic results, including championship titles across the country, successful dance examinations and scholarships to leading dance colleges.

Outside of dance, Dayna is currently a Teaching Assistant in a primary school and also runs her own holiday club, giving her plenty of experience working with and supporting children.

Dayna is now thrilled to be teaching Acro at Triple Threat. She recently completed her Acrobatic Arts training in August 2025 and is excited to continue developing her skills and bringing fun, safe and inspiring acro training to her students.

After such a fantastic first year at Triple Threat, Dayna has absolutely loved being part of the school and can’t wait for another brilliant year of dancing, learning and creating amazing memories with all of the students.

Dayna has been a huge hit with all our students and continues to inspire them on a weekly basis. We are so grateful for the energy and fun Dayna brings to our studio!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Meet the team cont….⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are so proud of our team of professional, fully qualified, experienced teachers here at Triple Threat Theatre Academy & Studios.
Today the spotlight is on Miss Amanda who has been teaching for us for many years now.

Dancing was always going to be in Amanda’s life! After starting at the age of 2, Amanda had found her passion in life and by the age of 16 she had become a regular festival competitor winning many championships, passing all her ISTD and RAD exams and performed professionally in many shows. After finishing school she went on to train in professional dance at SLP College, Leeds for three years completing her teacher training qualifications and furthering her knowledge in musical theatre, jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, singing and acting.

On completing her diploma and teaching exams with distinctions she went on to work professionally on cruise ships and various professional contracts in theatres and appearing on TV in England and abroad. After returning to England she wanted to pursue a career in teaching and choreography; she has since choreographed many shows, professional pantomimes, festival routines and championship winning routines. Amanda has a real flare choreography and her routines are always a real highlight in our annual shows.

Amanda continues to teach in many schools around the Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas giving lots of children opportunities to perform on stage and boost their confidence.

Many of Miss Amanda’s ex students have gone on to perform and have continued success working professionally in the industry.

Amanda teaches tap and jazz at Triple Threat and loves to inspire the children and give them the best training possible whether they just love to dance or they decide to build a career in performing arts.

Miss Amanda also plays the vital role of Deputy studio manager at Triple Threat, making sure things run smoothly and the studio is maintained and class ready on a daily basis.

We are so grateful and thankful for Miss Amanda’s expertise, commitment and dedication to Triple Threat Studios.

I’m Rebecca ,the principal and owner of Triple Threat Theatre Academy

I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer holidays and enjoying the break.

Whilst things are a bit less hectic I’m going to share a bit about my performing career and experiences

I opened Triple Threat 18 years ago having previously trained in Musical Theatre and professional dance at SLP College of performing arts Leeds from 1998-2001.
Whilst training I gained my associate teaching qualifications with the ISTD ( Imperial Society of Teacher of Dance) as well as gaining a level 4 diploma in professional dance.
More recently I also joined The RNN group as Lecturer in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre Pathway) at Rotherham College delivering the UAL Level 3 qualification. During my time at Rotherham College I also gained my Certificate in Education teaching qualification.

At the start of my performing career I performed on board Fred Olsen cruise lines as a dancer/singer (2004-2005)
Shortly after that, I performed for Explosive Production both in their UK tour and in their resident shows at Centre Parcs, Whinfell Forrest 2005-2006.

In 2006-2007 I performed with Sprit of the dance - UK tour & Spirit of Christmas, Düsseldorf Germany as a dancer.

Further credits include
* “Evolution productions” - Cinderella (Sheffield Lyceum) as Dancer/cover Cinderella and fairy Godmother 2007-2008
*Resident dancer/singer - Warner holidays (Thoresby Hall)

Film credits include include
Made in Dagenham
Houseful 1 & 2

In 2008-2009 I performed onboard the beautiful Oceana with “P&O cruise lines” as Head Dancer, taking care of the cast and all 8 shows onboard, running rehearsals and performing two shows every night throughout the contract.

In 2009 following a knee injury which prevented me from dancing professionally again, I created Triple Threat Theatre Academy a dream I’d had for a long time and one I am eternally grateful for coming true!
