Today we remember the courage, sacrifice and determination of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of D-Day during World War II. On 6 June 1944, thousands of servicemen crossed the English Channel, facing immense danger in the fight to liberate Europe from N**i occupation.
We honour those who gave their lives, those who returned home, and all who served with bravery, ensuring that their sacrifice and legacy are never forgotten.
