Swinton Creates 🌟

We had a lovely night at Swinton Creates earlier this week. We ran a cast and clay session with artist Deborah Frith.

We learnt how to create stunning, highly detailed botanical plaques. We used flowers and leaves pressed into rolled-out clay to create a stamp. We then removed them to leave a detailed negative imprint and filled with liquid plaster to form a permanent, 3D raised cast.

A special mention to the lovely volunteers who supported the session, they get their own photo!

Lots of great results (and laughs!)

Len is a poet who has a combined following of nearly 1.3 million followers across social media, who follow her both for her poetry and for her Scots Word of the Day. She is the author of two collections of poetry, both of which are Sunday Timesbestsellers: poyums and poyums annaw. poyums won the won the Discover Award for Book of the Year at the 2025 British Book Awards!

Tickets are pay as you feel - £5, £8 or £10 - pay whatever you feel comfortable with.
