☀️ "Best one yet, lovely atmosphere and so good to see everyone out."

We were pleased to welcome 68 people at the Fitzwilliam Summer Bash in Swinton on Tuesday! It was wonderful to see children and families getting involved, trying new activities and spending time together.

Some of our favourite comments from the day:
"This is what the kids need. He's been jumping on that for an hour!"
"We're going to carry this craft on at home, it's been right good. I'm making some for friends tonight."

Delivered in partnership with Fitzwilliam TARA, Flux Rotherham and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, the event brought together local families, community organisations, artists and partners for an afternoon packed with activities, creativity and fun. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, including Rotherham Early Help Central, Grimm & Co., Rotherham Libraries, SCFG, Citizens Advice, artists Debbie and Azaria, and NovaCity for helping make the day such a success.

MUSICIAN OPPORTUNITY 🌟

Could you create the soundtrack to Reclaim the Night Rotherham?

At FLUX Rotherham, we're looking for a musician to take part in a special creative project — working with four different community groups to explore sound, music and ideas, and transform what they create together into an original soundtrack for Reclaim the Night Rotherham.

This is a chance to bring your own musical skills and creativity to a project that will start in community spaces and be heard during the Reclaim the Night Walk.

We’re looking for someone who:
✨ Is an experienced musician/composer
✨ Has experience working creatively with communities
✨ Is confident working with people with different levels of musical experience
✨ Is open to experimenting and developing the work collaboratively

The rest is up to you, the musical direction is flexible. It just needs to be upbeat, so we want to hear from someone who can bring their own ideas, style and approach to the project.
