And that’s a wrap! 13 consecutive days. Average 15,000 steps a day, record breaking heat, 26 sessions, thousands of children through the doors, a gazillion pegs and just THE best creative couple of weeks ❤️ thank you Hay Festival it has, as always, been an absolute blast xx

drew us all on his last day with us in Make & Take ❤️❤️ Genuinely, the kindest, most thoughtful, conscientious, talented and caring young man - if my boys grown up to be half the man Liam is, I will be so very blessed. A glorious role model and mentor to so many children, I’m proud to have him in my creative world. Love you Liam, thank you for looking after me so well this week and for inspiring and encouraging so many children ###

Thank you to CMYK at HCA for the most magnificent adventure. How heart warming to meet visitors and staff who still have their listening sticks nearly ten years after my degree show ❤️❤️ the party animals were spectacular- special mention to Party Pete, who deserves an insta profile all of his own 😂😂 wonderful to catch up with friends, drink coffee, make plans and buy art … heaven xx

A quieter week this week after the festival fun - a perfect time to reflect and complete a few outstanding projects before my annual pilgrimage to Hay Festival managing Make & Take for the dedicated creative recharge I so desperately crave each year. Thank you for an absolute four day blast RHS Malvern Spring Festival / Malvern Autumn Show💪. I’ve even finished varnishing the wooden bunting and stones ready for the Railway Garden project for Ross-on-Wye Town Council which has been a delight to watch evolve. My birthday walk has shown me I’m stronger than I gave myself credit for, my four days at Malvern have empowered me and shown me how kind my fellow creatives are in making sure I’m supported. For the first time in my life, I told someone I was proud of myself yesterday - I’m not sure if that’s desperately sad for what has been or liberating going forward. Either way it’s time to buckle up because I’ve got some living to do x 💪

What a glorious day - school art project then headed over to Malvern to start the set up for workshop shenanigans Thursday-Sunday. Sneaky peak at the school gardens which look SPECTACULAR ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ early night then head down and power through till Sunday 💪💪💪. Reception and Y1 raised the roof this morning with their enthusiasm 😂😂. Whole school wet felting as part of their arts programme - a joy to be out and about in Bromsgrove, just a couple of miles from where I grew up ❤️❤️. Such a sensory activity today, with the soap smells, the thudding of the fibres together, the feel of the newly made material and the colourful array of roving - serendipity is our word of the day - happy accidents…let’s see what it wants to be ❤️❤️

When you just know it’s going to be a good day - especially as it’s still April and the thought of prepping for the 4000+ children coming to your workshops in May is slightly overwhelming but technically still ‘next month’ 😂😂💪💪
