🎷🎺🎼Next week's band at the Ross-on-Wye Bandsand is.... Malvern Big Band!

Formed in 2001, the band is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! They perform a wide range of Big Band jazz, from the classic repertoire of the swing era, such as Duke Ellington and Count Basie, through to contemporary arrangements of pop and soul hits and modern jazz pieces.

The band, under the musical direction of Mike Halliday, feature some of the best jazz musicians in the region, and perform regularly around Worcestershire and neighbouring counties.

🎷🎺🎼Next week's band at the Ross-on-Wye Bandsand is.... Lydbrook Silver Band!

Lydbrook Band are returning and are looking forward to the summer months playing in an in the local community! Their training band is often seen performing at local fund-raising events for other organisations and charities.

🎷🎺🎼Next week's band at the Ross-on-Wye Bandstand is.... Cheltenham Silver Band!

Cheltenham Silver Band is a traditional Brass Band, originally formed in 1937, and now runs four brass ensembles that meet weekly throughout most of the year. This includes their Learner Band, which caters for absolute beginners up to the Silver Band, which competes in the Third Section of the West of England Area. Through their performances, Cheltenham Silver Band aim to entertain, and support the local community wherever possible.

🎷🎺🎼Next week's band at the Ross-on-Wye Bandsand is....Harlequintet!

Formed in 2015 by Gerald Hartley, the group consists of Chris (Tpt), Nige K (Tpt), Emily (Flugel/Tpt), Andrew (Horn), Caz (Trom), Nige G (Bass) and Darcy (Perc). They play from an extensive library of music, from classical pieces to jazz and popular music, from high-pitched melodies to deep, resonant harmonies.

Next Sunday (17th May) is the first of our free outdoor music afternoons known as Bands in the Park!🎷🎺🎼

Ross Town Band is a friendly community brass band based in the town. The concert repertoire is chosen so that it is hopefully entertaining to audiences whilst being challenging but achievable for players. The band does not compete, but several players perform with other local bands in contests.

Band practices are on Friday evenings at the Larruperz Centre, when there is also a beginners’ section and a training band. For further details, email [email protected].
