Romsey Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (RAODS) owns and operates The Plaza Theatre. more intimate than the nearby Mayflower, Nuffield and Playhouse theatres, the Plaza offers Pantomime, Musicals, Operetta, Drama, Dance, Youth productions and Live Music. CAN YOU HEAR ME MAJOR TOM is our Youth production of Mark Wheeller's tribute to the man whose music inspired generations. It's not a concert or an impersonation, but a moving and often uplifting piece of documentary theatre built from real interviews.

The play follows six very different Bowie fans who each found themselves creating something in response to his passing, alongside the reflections of guitarist Keith Christmas, who worked with David Bowie and offers a fascinating first-hand perspective on the man behind the legend.

Whether you're a lifelong Bowie fan or simply enjoy stories about the extraordinary impact one artist can have on ordinary people's lives, you'll find something to connect with.

This is a newly updated version of the play, made in collaboration with Mark.

A reminder that the box office at the Plaza theatre is open every Saturday morning between 10 & 12 for booking tickets with no booking fee. Upcoming shows including Can You Hear Me Major Tom by Mark Wheeller, Relative Values by Noel Coward and Last of the Red Hot Lovers by Neil Simon.

Unfortunately, due to a sudden bereavement, the Guns'n'Jovi show on Saturday 27th June has been cancelled.
