I’ve been keeping a little secret…

Many of you followed me through my years at I wanna be…and I absolutely loved creating a place where little ones could play, explore and use their imaginations.

Well… it turns out I wasn't quite ready to stop making a mess with children just yet! 😂

I'm really excited to introduce you to my new little venture…

LITTLE MESS MAKERS

Messy and sensory play for curious little minds aged 6 months–4 years.

We'll be squishing, splashing, scooping, pouring, painting and exploring and after messy play, we'll have Grown-Up Time — a chance to grab a cuppa (included in the price), have a chat and meet other parents and carers while the little ones continue to play.

📅 Starting Friday 9 October

🎨 Messy play: 9:45–10:30am
☕ Grown-Up Time: 10:30–11:15am

🎨 Tonight’s business shoutout goes to Becki from 🎨🩷

Over the years we’ve run so many great pottery events together — from baby prints, to children’s pottery painting, to adults-only evenings. They’ve always been really popular and something we’ve genuinely enjoyed offering.

Tonight was special as the I Wanna Be team got together for a final evening and headed to Dark Arts Pottery (definitely recommend!!).

We’ll miss these sessions, but it’s been a pleasure working with Becki and hosting so many creative events together.

Next in our spotlight series is Hair by Paige ✂️✨

This was one of those sessions that was suggested and everyone said, “Katie, are you sure?!” — but we are so, so pleased with how successful these sessions have been! 💛

Over the years, we’ve welcomed so many little ones who aren’t the biggest fans of having their hair cut, but with Paige’s help they’ve come away with fantastic haircuts and big smiles 😊

Paige is amazing with children, making the whole experience calm, friendly, and even enjoyable! 🙌

We highly recommend if your little one finds haircuts a bit tricky 💫

Next in our spotlight series is Naomi from Catching Little Dreams 🌙💤✨

When we first started running these sessions, it took a couple of tries to really get them off the ground — but wow, did they grow in popularity! So many parents joined us to receive tailored sleep advice from this wonderful lady while their little ones enjoyed playing in our village 💛

Naomi is an award-winning sleep consultant, and her support has been invaluable to so many families 🙌

We’ve recently been made aware that we made it through to the finals of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Muddy Stilettos Awards 2026 🎉

After giving it some thought, we’ve decided to withdraw from the finals. We feel it’s only fair, and we would love for one of the other fantastic nominees to win and benefit from the award 💛
