URGENT HELP NEEDED. !!!!!
We are asking ALL players past and present if they have ever borrowed a Rogerstone Band instrument and have forgot to return it. We are missing a Sovereign Eb Bass, a Prestige Euphonium, a Tenor Horn, a Strad Tenor Trombone and a few Yamaha Cornets. We have accounted for the majority of our current instruments, but have mislaid a few. Please message Olly Thomas or Steve Haycox so we can arrange collection. Thanks

Supporting local talent, all the way to London 🎺💙

It was great to welcome Olly and James from The Rogerstone Community Band to our office ahead of their special trip to London.

The band has been part of the local community for generations, so when we heard they were heading to London to perform for The Chelsea Pensioners at The Royal Hospital Chelsea, we were delighted to help get them there by covering the cost of their fuel ⛽

We had a fabulous day with the The Chelsea Pensioners hospital Chelsea. We were treated to a tour, dinner and then entertained residents in the bar. It was thoroughly enjoyable for everyone. A big thank you to One 2 One Logistics for supporting us with a financial contribution towards our transport. 🙌🏼
Stop off at Windsor on the way home for castle, coffee and shopping 🙌🏼

For the last year, our three-year-old son Teddy has been battling neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.

He has come so far. But we've now hit a devastating setback. The maintenance treatment that helps prevent his cancer coming back has been unexpectedly withdrawn here in the UK. At the same time, complications from his treatment mean Teddy has already lost part of the protection he had. The only way we can now get him what he needs is to fund it ourselves.

Teddy is at high risk of his cancer returning, and for children who relapse, survival rates are heartbreakingly low. This treatment is what stands between our son and that risk. We're asking for your help to give him the very best chance of beating this for good.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for anything you can give, and for sharing Teddy's story.

Safe travels to the Rogerstone Brass band who have a small band travelling from Wales to London to visit and play for the Chelsea Pensioners at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Shout out to the minibus and van drivers Olly, Andy and Steve.

Also thanks to Chris Phillips and One to One for paying for our fuel 🙌🏼

We are a charity brass band and exist to promote the musical and social interests of our members and to advance and give education to anyone wishing to play an instrument, be part of a band or wanting to listen to and enjoy live music.

Lovely afternoon supporting that Rogerstone Festival event near our base today. Thanks to all those that came over to listen, and the kids in the park 🤗. Lots of cars so hope the local businesses and stalls did well. Rare to get a photo the band out of their seats but here it is! And a few more

☀️🕶️The Rogerstone Festival is almost here and the weather looks amazing for Sunday - we will be needing our sun hats, sunscreen and plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day 🕶️🌞

🥁The Scout Band will be marching down into the ground to start the event off 🥁

🎵 There will be some great musical acts to keep you entertained throughout the day on the main stage -
The Cardiff Ukulele group
Abergavenny Rock Choir
Jolly Rogies
Little Leaders Cymru
Shine Academy
Encore Wales

And we, the Rogerstone Community Brass Band, will be playing under the trees (shade will be needed) near the Bandroom. Come and say hi 👋

We enjoyed a great turnout for our concert on Friday with Pontnewydd Male Voice Choir at Bethesda Church in Rogerstone.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our joint concert with the choir, and including our talented junior band directed by the renowned Dr Bob Childs.

It was a wonderful musical evening which ended with everyone on their feet and singing along.

A big thank you to the ladies of the churches Linx group who were fabulous supporting us on the door and with refreshments as always.

We were also able to support a charity close to the churches heart, Cariad Kenya, with a donation of £150.

We all look forward to the next one. 🎶🎶🪊🪊🥁🥁
