Your brain is an amazing thing. More complex than any computer, and capable of more than any invention we’ve ever created. Yet we hardly think about it, as it has always been there with us, sitting in our skulls and silently doing incredible things. But are we controlling it, or is it controlling us?

It is your best friend and your worst enemy. It often solves our problems, but can also create just as many. Understanding how and why it works the way it does is not only fascinating, it will also help you avoid the traps it sets and the tricks it plays, even when it is trying to help.

Psychologist Dr Friday has spent 15 years trying to understand our brains, our thoughts, and our behaviour. This has led to his interactive live show, THEATRE OF THE MIND, which is often funny, sometimes shocking, but always compelling.

Through real-world examples and on-stage demonstrations, he reveals what we do, and do not, know about what goes on inside our own heads.

This ★★★★★ show explores serial killers, life behind bars, the psychology of murder and some of the uncomfortable questions we would perhaps rather not ask.

There’s plenty of places to see my true crime show this year from London Bridge to Bristol… but there’s few as intimate and unique as Margate’s Tom Thumb Theatre.

My 17th September show ‘BEHIND THE PRISON GATES’ sold out, so I’ll be returning the very next night to this wonderful space.

Dripping in atmosphere, this former Victorian coach house has been transformed into one of the country’s most distinctive venues. It’s rich with history, creative spirit, and that unmistakable edge you only find by the sea.

The setting really matters for a show exploring serial killers, their minds, and how they think… so this is perfect.

If you’ve seen my shows before, you’ll know they’re immersive… but in a venue like this, they become something else entirely.

There’s no huge audience to disappear into, no stage in the distance. Instead, the story will unfold right in front of you with one question to answer… are we really that different?

Having run the Forensic Psychology course for the Criminology Department at the University of Greenwich, I’ll be unveiling the surprising truths about the psychology of murderers and what we can learn from them.
