This Saturday we celebrate 20 years of Sterts Singers with the Last Night of the Proms.

Joined by Roche Brass band, and soloist Samantha Rowe, this promises to be an evening to remember. Whether you've seen many a Sterts Singers performance or this will be your first Last Night of the Proms at Sterts, this is your chance to celebrate a key part of Sterts' history.

This is one of the final performances in our Barn Theatre this year, so join us for an evening of merriment! Our bar will be open from 6.30pm, so join us for a cuppa or something stronger, before heading into the Barn for an evening of song.

Celebrate 20 Years of Sterts Singers at the Last Night of the Proms

Join us for an uplifting evening of music, merriment, and tradition as we proudly present our annual Last Night of the Proms. Expect all the familiar pomp and pageantry, flag-waving fun, and a hearty dose of rousing cheer, as we celebrate 20 years of Sterts Singers.

We’re thrilled to welcome back the outstanding Roche Band, crowned Regional Champions in 2025, alongside our very own Sterts Singers, for a night of stirring performances and timeless favourites. The evening will crescendo with a rousing celebration of classic English patriotic music, a true Proms tradition!

TODAY IS THE DAY – BRASS ON THE GRASS!

What a week it’s been, and we’re not quite finished yet! Join us TODAY from 2pm for a fantastic afternoon of live music, great food and community spirit at The Hawkins Arms.

We’re welcoming the brilliant Roche Brass Band, who’ll be performing live throughout the afternoon and helping us round off an incredible Probus Fun Week in style.

And remember those Probus Produce hot dogs you all LOVED when we hosted Assembly Bangers? Well, they’re BACK! After going down an absolute storm last time, we’ll be firing up the BBQ and serving them again today – so come hungry!

Roche Brass Band have recently qualified to represent the West of England at the National Brass Band Finals of Great Britain in York, and they’ll be fundraising today to help get them there. Any support you can give will be hugely appreciated.

So come along for live brass music, BBQ hot dogs, plenty of drinks, a brilliant atmosphere and the announcement of the Probus Fun Week Grand Draw winner!

After such a fantastic week for our village, we can’t think of a better way to finish it.

THIS SUNDAY – BRASS ON THE GRASS!

What better way to round off Probus Fun Week than with an afternoon of live music, great food and plenty of community spirit at The Hawkins Arms!

Join us this Sunday 16th August from 2pm as the fantastic Roche Brass Band take to the garden for an afternoon of brilliant live music.

And there’s even more reason to get behind them! Roche Brass Band have qualified to represent the West of England at the National Brass Band Finals of Great Britain in York, and they’ll be fundraising throughout the afternoon to help get them there. Any support you can give will mean so much.

Expect live brass music filling the garden, the BBQ fired up, cold drinks flowing and a brilliant Sunday atmosphere as we bring an incredible Probus Fun Week to a close.
