We are so excited to be hosting ‘Inspire to Aspire’, a mini exhibition by Pure Innovations, running from 9th to 10th September. 🌟

Pure Innovations is a charity supporting adults with autism, physical and learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. Over many months, Project Support Worker William Oldham has been working alongside the artists to create work that truly celebrates their creativity, individuality and personal experiences and this exhibition is a chance to celebrate all of this work.

The launch takes place tomorrow, 11am to 3pm. Please do come along!

Something new is coming to Richard Street Studios. 🧘‍♀️✨

Our weekly yoga sessions with the wonderful Katie are starting Friday 11th September, 9.30–10.30am and we cannot wait to welcome new faces to our flexible Studio 1 space. (See what we did there?!)

Beginners are warmly welcome and all levels are encouraged!

We have some exciting news. 🎨🌟

Richard Street Studios and Breaking Barriers, supported by The Haworth Trust, are offering three visual artists from Rochdale or the Global Majority an incredible opportunity to develop their practice and showcase their work.

Each selected artist will receive:

🎨 10 free studio days at Richard Street Studios (worth £1,200)
🖼️ A joint exhibition opportunity with a launch event
🛠️ A materials budget plus technical and marketing support

📁 A portfolio of work or a two-minute video or audio recording telling us why this opportunity is right for you, how you would use your 10 studio days, and your ideas for the joint exhibition

Triangle Kimbap Workshop 🍙

This workshop is a relaxed, hands-on introduction to making triangle kimbap!

Participants will learn how to prepare and shape their own triangle kimbap using accessible ingredients and fillings such as tuna mayo and kimchi. The session is designed to be beginner-friendly and informal, with a focus on making and sharing food in a welcoming environment.

Each participant will make 2–3 kimbap to enjoy during the session or take home.

💸 £18 per person / 2 for £30
