🖤 10PM | HOUR 23 OF 24
A SMALL TATTOO. A BIG CONVERSATION.
As we reach 10pm and Hour 23 of our World Su***de Prevention Day campaign, we want to highlight another example of someone in the community choosing to use what they do to support su***de prevention.
For Su***de Prevention Month, a local tattoo artist in Rochdale is offering two special tattoo designs for just £10 each, with money raised being donated to a local charity. 🖤
The event has now been updated to:
📅 Friday 11 September
⏰ 10am–7pm
📍 Spotland Bridge Mill, Mellor Street, Rochdale, OL11 5BU
Top Floor, Unit 6
✨ No appointment needed
There's something particularly meaningful about tattoos within the su***de-prevention community.
For some people, they're simply artwork.
For others, they can represent survival, remembrance, recovery, somebody they've lost, a promise to themselves, or a chapter of their life they never want to forget.
The semicolon in particular has become widely recognised as a symbol connected with mental health and su***de prevention — representing a point where a sentence could have ended, but continued instead.
And tonight, we want to recognise the person behind this fundraiser too.
You don't need to run a national campaign to contribute to su***de prevention.
You can use your business.
Your creativity.
Your workplace.
Your social media.
Your sport.
Your music.
Your art.
Or simply your voice.
When communities choose to talk about su***de rather than hide from it, we help challenge the stigma that can make asking for help feel so difficult.
So if you're around Rochdale on Friday, take a look at the original post for the tattoo designs and further details:

And to the artist organising this: thank you for using your work to start conversations and raise money during Su***de Prevention Month. 🖤
