Our schedule for the Summer/Autumn season has been announced, and we have lots in store!
🧵 Beginners Sewing
This is our ground level class for those who have never used a sewing machine before or have lost their confidence and want a refresher on what their machine can do. During class we make a couple of small projects including a small zipped bag
🧵 Introduction to Dressmaking
A natural progression after the Beginners Sewing is this course, especially for those who want to explore making their own clothes. Learn how to read a sewing pattern and make a pair of PJ bottoms
🧵 The Skirt Workshop
Once you've learned the basics of making clothes, The Skirt Workshop is one of our next level courses, enabling you to hone your skills and deepen your understanding of dressmaking.
🧵 Make The Buckthorn Bag
As a confident beginner/intermediate sewer, you'll thrive working with and finding out about new fabrics. In this class we'll look into bag construction and hardware as well as working with oilskin cloth.
🧵 The Drew Sweatshirt
Stretchy fabrics can trip sewers up, so on this course we delve into the world of knit fabrics and use our newfound skills to make a sweatshirt
🧵 The Nikko Top
Expanding on the skills you've learned making a sweatshirt, we'll try working with finer, slinkier knit fabrics to make this great everyday staple turtleneck top
🧵 Sew a Zip Neck Fleece
The final workshop focusing on knit fabrics is our Zip neck fleece jacket. Unisex and roomy, it is a brilliant addition to your winter layers
🧵 Further Darning Methods
Hosted by we'll look at various methods of darning to repair your damaged clothes
