It was a privilege for Herd Art Studio to play a part in bringing the world of the Vikings to life at Kynren.

Our team designed and created the monumental entrance sculptures and a series of eight 3.8-metre Viking totem poles, each individually sculpted and finished to feel as though it belongs to an ancient, weathered landscape.

These pieces were created not simply as props, but as part of the storytelling — setting the atmosphere from the moment visitors enter and helping transport them into another time.

A fantastic project to be part of, and even better to see the work now standing in its intended environment at Kynren.

‘Winged Sovereignty’ is a monumental 3.6m relief sculpture that’s now well on its way to completion. Every feather, bead and detail has been hand sculpted to create a piece that celebrates strength, dignity and heritage. In the coming weeks it will begin its journey to its new home in Texas, USA.
