Ringwood Carnival Ringwood Carnival -
A 'festival of fun' for the whole family, raising money for local charities and good causes. Ringwood saw its very first Carnival in 1928!

It was originally set up to fund the purchase of a certain field from local man Mr. Carver, as well as to raise monies for the Royal Victoria & West Hants Hospital. Carnivals followed in 1931 and 1934, when the Coldstream Guards marched through the town in full dress uniform. The first Carnival after the war was in 1950 and has continued every year since. Today the Carnival is Ringwood’s largest and most important annual community event.

Get ready to move your feet, arms and anything else at the Brilliant LIVE ON THE LAWN at Greyfriars Community Centre returns for a fifth year for Carnival Day! 🎶

Starting from 12pm onwards (19th September), there is an action-packed day full of fun planned, featuring…

❤️Local musical talent – with an interactive Samba session!
💙Face painting & glitter
❤️Thrilling circus acts
💙Teddy bear tombola
❤️Carnival Bar
💙Fresh Pizza from the pizza oven

…and all the classic carnival treats - tea, cake, and delicious drinks...

We are delighted to welcome back for the THIRD year running, RINGWOOD CARNIVAL UNPLUGGED! 🎉 YUP, it's back, it's bigger and G - WIZZ we are VERY excited about this year’s line up!

➡️ ⓶⓸talented acts will be performing across ❶❸ unique venues throughout Ringwood on Carnival Day, 19th September (In almost TWO WEEKS!!). From lively pubs🍺 to street corners, each location will host intimate sets that promise to bring a fresh and exciting atmosphere for CARNIVAL! 🎤🎶

The BIG DAY is WEEKS away - when we all come together as a TOWN and a community to celebrate Ringwood Carnival – and this year is going to be yet ANOTHER brilliant festival of fun!

The Ringwood Carnival committee is pleased to announce another FUN-PACKED series of build-up events running up to Carnival Day, for the town to enjoy. 🎉

So please support 🫵 these events, and if you are interested in hosting an event, or are a business 💰 willing to raise funds for Carnival with your event – there is still time.

Special thanks 👏🏻 are given to all those that are already working in the background with the Carnival Crew 🙌🏻 to enable this to happen.

🧐 Saturday 12th - The Ringwood Carnival Big Fat Quiz of the year - Trinity United Church, Ringwood.

🎯 Monday 14th - Carnival Darts at The Pour House.

🛴 Tuesday 15th - Youth Riders Scooter Competition, Carvers Skate Park.

🏃‍♀️ Wednesday 16th - Ringwood Run Club Carnival Fun Run (Run the Procession Route in Fancy Dress).

🎡 Thursday 17th - BIG Night Thursday at The Fun Fair - Cheap ride night.

👨‍👧‍👦 Friday 18th - School Challenge Cup hosted by Stronger Together Across Ringwood & Fordingbridge at The Bickerley Field.

🎤 Friday 18th - Pre-Carnival Concert with the Otis Jay Blues Band at Ringwood Meeting House & History Centre.

We had a busy Sunday morning helping out the Ellingham team with a HEFTY clearing up session across the show field!

➡️Marshal during the procession.
➡️Lead a team.

We're set up and ready to go for Ringwood Town Council's event today - celebrating 800 years of the Market Charter!

Held in and around the Market Place, The Ringwood Carnival team have a fully stocked Can & Car Bar waiting for you, with Pimm's, 🍹wine, 🍷gin and tonic, 🥃 lager, 🍻cider, a range of soft drinks, and to commemorate the occasion - Ringwood Brewery's 49er! 🍺

The event is from 11:30am - 19:30 today, with live music 🎤, farm yard circus 🐄, petting zoo 🐰, face painting 🧑‍🎨, village games 🏏, funfair 🎡, inflatables - and of course food and drink for all! 🍽️

We’ve always focused on the environment, sustainability and corporate social responsibility, but this is a DIFFERENT green! 💚

We are NOW part of the Waitrose & Partners Community Matters Initiative, which means when you shop, put some green tokens 🌳👏🏻 in our designated box, and we receive a donation to our charity 😍🤞🏻

What does this mean? 🧐

Ringwood Carnival is a dedicated registered charity. 🥰 Not only do we donate up to £6,000 every year to local charities organisations, our procession prizes of another £2,000 are in the form of a donation to the winners’ chosen charity.

So YOUR token helps your local town and those that REALLY need your help! 🌟🥳And it enables us to put on a magnificent day - and now Carnival WEEK for Ringwood and its visitors.

‼️...Did you know that Ringwood Carnival is 100% VOLUNTEER-LED? A small group, all for YOUR TOWN! 🎭
