Blag Youth theatre is run by Richard and Lynn Beaumont highly experienced performers and teachers. Blag Youth staff are carefully chosen for their teaching skills and are all DBS checked. Blag Youth was established in 1997 and offers classes to children from 4-16 years in drama and from 6 in singing plus private coaching for drama school entry. Exams are available for students looking to take thei
r drama to the next step, past students have all received excellent grades and all children were awarded distinctions in their recent exams. Performance is an important part of Blag and all children are encouraged to take part in the annual production as well as festivals and other community events, though it is not compulsory. We also offer a two week summer project which is unique to Blag, a full scale musical production specially written to give each child a speaking part. During the two weeks the children work with theatre professionals producing an excellent show whilst having a wonderful time and making lifelong friendships. Blag’s ethos demonstrates it’s dedication to encouraging well rounded, creative, enthusiastic children with the confidence to take centre stage and always have something to say. All abilities are welcome and all are encouraged and given their chance to shine. A free trial is available for all classes and then 'Pay-As-You-Go' for the first term, after which fees will be invoiced for.
